An A1 licence is for anyone over the age of 17 who has passed their CBT and is either in the process of or has completed their motorcycle theory test.
On successful completion of your A1 licence you are now able to ride a scooter or motorcycle up to 125cc.
You are also now allowed to drive on motorways and can still carry passengers.
Once you have your A1 licence you may decide you want to ride something more powerful.
An A2 licence is the next step. This licence allows you to ride a motorcycle or scooter at any cc up to but not over 47bhp.
